Tilt Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 5, 2026

Tilt is a work-life balance timer for iPhone. This policy explains what data Tilt handles and where it goes.

The short version

What Tilt stores

Tilt keeps the following on your device so the app can work:

This data is shared only between Tilt and its own extensions on your device (the Home Screen widget, Live Activity, and Screen Time extensions).

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Tilt syncs your sessions, scales and settings through Apple’s CloudKit, using the private database in your iCloud account and iCloud key-value storage. This data is stored by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot see, read or access it. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Tilt in the Settings app.

Screen Time and app limits

If you turn on app limits, Tilt uses Apple’s Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings).

You can revoke Screen Time access at any time in Settings > Screen Time.

Notifications

Nudges are local notifications created on your iPhone. Tilt may also receive silent notifications from Apple so iCloud changes from your other devices arrive in the background. No notification content passes through us.

Siri and Shortcuts

When you use Siri or the Shortcuts app to start or stop a timer, your request is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy terms. Tilt only receives the action (for example, “start Work”).

Lock Screen and Home Screen

The Live Activity, Dynamic Island and Home Screen widget show your running side, timer and today’s balance. Anyone who can see your Lock Screen or Home Screen may see this information. You can turn these off in Tilt’s settings or in iOS Settings.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, health data, photos, browsing history, purchase history or any analytics or crash data. We do not sell or share data, because we never receive any.

Apple may give developers aggregated, anonymous App Store and crash statistics if you have chosen to share them with app developers in iOS Settings. This is controlled by Apple and you can turn it off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.

Deleting your data

Since we hold none of your data, we have nothing to export or delete on our side. Your rights under laws such as the GDPR and CCPA are fully met by the controls above.
